The International Gathering of Mythopoetic Studies at FFLCH-USP (São Paulo, Brazil) will bring Tolkien fans together in an epic event in honor of the 70th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring!
The Gathering combines two simultaneous events in the same place: the II Convention of the Rings, filled with everything the fandom loves, and the II Journey of Mythopoetic Studies, academic in scope and with international guests!

Journey of Mythopoetic Studies
An academic event to discuss, through communications and round tables, Tolkien's work and topics related to it, such as fantasy literature, mythopoetics, and fairy tales, in different media (cinema, visual arts, etc. ) and from diverse perspectives, such as literary criticism, translation studies, religious sciences, history, among others. Entrance is free, but those who want a certificate should pay a fee.
Convention of the Rings
On July 26 (Friday) and 27 (Saturday), the Great Tolkiendili Gathering takes place! Stalls, cosplay, artists' alley, geek products, books, food trucks, archery, medieval battles, raffles, and more, including exclusive event products! A space to have fun and exchange ideas (in Elvish, if that is your thing) with other fans of our beloved master Tolkien!
